Because, aside from lunch and dinner, I've gone through the following today:
A pack of ramen
Four slices of bread
Half a stack Pringles
Half a bag of tortilla chips
A tablespoon of jelly
Still thinking whether I should eat the jerky stick I bought yesterday.
I've also been testing adding banner images on my blog posts. Again. They give a bit more life and personality to the post, though I'd like to believe my personality is better expressed text-only. I'm a software developer after all, code all day every day. They still add about 60-90KB of weight though. On average, a text-only post and the avatar icon is 16KB. Jumping to 90KB after adding an image seems heavy, relatively speaking.
